SOUTHLAND – (INT) - Southern California motorists will have a bit more money in their wallets for Thanksgiving getaways and holiday shopping as gas prices continue to slip.

Southland motorists have plenty of company this holiday. But, they are paying the lowest Thanksgiving gas prices in 7-years.

The statewide average is $2.71 a gallon.

The Inland Empire average is 14-cents below last month and 34-cents less than last Thanksgiving.

“Barring any supply issues, we should continue to see price declines through the end of the year,” said Auto Club spokesman Jeff Spring.

About 3 million Southern Californians will be taking trips during the long Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
