PALM SPRINGS - (INT) - Longtime Coachella Valley journalist Gloria Greer was remembered Monday at a special Celebration of Life at the Camelot Theater.

Ms. Greer covered the “Stars of the Desert” for more than 50 years, first for Variety Magazine and then for a host of local news organizations and feature publications.

Speakers at Monday's ceremony Speakers included Frank Jones, publisher of Palm Springs Life Magazine, Ric Supple, the long-time owner of RR Broadcasting, and news anchor Karen Devine.

Ms. Greer passed away Oct. 30 after a long battle with cancer. She was 87.
