Holiday movie revenue rises despite 'Victor Frankenstein'
HOLLYWOOD - Katniss Everdeen, a lovable dinosaur, and an aging Rocky Balboa made for an appetizing feast at the Thanksgiving box office and for the opening of the holiday season. Revenue is up sharply from last year.

As expected, 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 2' dominated overall in its second week.

'The Good Dinosaur' and Rocky reboot 'Creed' played a big part in fueling the holiday box-office boom, even if 'Good Dinosaur' marks one of the lowest starts for a Pixar title.

The holiday's third new movie, Paul McGuigan's 'Victor Frankenstein', couldn't even crack the top 10.

Finishing out the Top ten were 'Spectre', 'The Peanuts Movie,' 'The Night Before', 'Secret in Their Eyes', 'Spotlight', 'Brooklyn' and 'The Martian.' (Source: The Hollywood Reporter)
