El Nino fails to deliver in November
INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – November’s meager rain failed to dampen the region’s thirst for the promise of El Nino.

November is historically the first of the season’s four wettest months.

Five weather fronts with predicted rain brought only wind and cold temperatures to the inland valleys. Rainfall was reserved for the mountains with a few inches of snow higher up.

November’s showers added up to only 3-tenths of an inch in Riverside or about one-third of normal. San Bernardino measured just under three-quarters of an inch.

The monsoon rains of last summer, however, helped to boost the season-to-date rainfall above average.

Climatologists say that El Nino is here and it could be the strongest in 20 years. Those hoping for soaking rains should have patience.
