Proposed power line draws protests
CORONA - (INT) – City officials say a proposed high voltage power line would bisect their community.

They complain that Southern California Edison has done little to notify the community and solicit public input regarding the impacts of the project. The city filed a protest of the application earlier this month.

The 66 KV transmission line is known as the Circle City Substation and Mira Loma-Jefferson project.

The California Public Utilities Commission is holding an environmental “scoping” session February 17th at 6pm at the Corona Public Library. Residents and business owners are encouraged to give their input.

The public has until February 29th to submit comments.
