San Bernardino welcomes new City Manager
SAN BERNARDINO - (INT) – Mark Scott took over Monday as City Manager under a 1-year contract.

Scott, former city manager in Burbank, succeeds Allen Parker who resigned in December and took a year’s severance pay.

Police Chief Jarrod Burguan has filled in as acting city manager the past 6-weeks.

Scott met Monday with department heads and held get-acquainted meetings.

Mayor Carey Davis says Scott has described himself as an accessible manager who enjoys participating in the craft of community-building and facilitating partnerships.

Scott comes in at a time when the city is emerging from bankruptcy.
