GOP field of presidential candidates narrows
WASHINGTON - (INT) - The dominoes keep falling among the field of GOP presidential contenders.

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is the latest to fold his tent.

Christie made the announcement during a call with his campaign Wednesday. He'd staked his hopes on New Hampshire, but finished sixth with just 7% of the vote.

The decision marks a sudden end for someone once seen as a potential front-runner. In the wake of the 2012 election, Christie appeared poised for a strong bid for the Republican nomination -- he won a second term as the Republican governor of a blue state and led the Republican Governors Association.

Earlier, Carly Fiorina packed her bags announcing her decision on social media after poor showings in the New Hampshire and Iowa nominating contests. “I will continue to serve in order to restore citizen government to this great nation so that together we may fulfill our potential,” she said.
