California's safest cities ranked
INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – Five Inland Empire cities have made the list of the fifty safest in California.

Based on FBI crime stats and proprietary BackgroundChecks.org research data, Murrieta came in at Number 20. It’s followed by the region’s newest city, Eastvale, Chino Hills, Temecula and the smallest city in the IE, Canyon Lake.

Murrieta’s violent crime rate is 65.5 and your chance of being affected by property crime is just 1.6%.

California’s safest city is Hillsborough in the south San Francisco Bay area. There’s almost no crime to speak of, with the violent crime rate being just 9 for every 100,000 residents.
