Valentine's Day will be the end of the world — according to ‘Ghostbusters II’
Sunday, Valentine’s Day, will be the end of the world — at least, according to “Ghostbusters II.”

In the 1989 sequel, Bill Murray’s character Peter Venkman is first introduced while hosting the “World of the Psychic” TV show.

Venkman has two psychics on his show, each asked to predict the end of the world.

One predicts the world will end at the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Eve of that year, which ends up being close to true as the Ghostbusters battle Viggo the Carpathian.

But the second psychic, Elaine, has a different premonition.

“According to my source, the end of the world will be on Feb. 14, in the year 2016,” Elaine says.

“Valentine’s Day,” Venkman responds.

“Bummer.”

In case it's truly the end of the world, go ahead and splurge on the extra fancy box of chocolate. (Source: New York Daily News)
