Construction delays start of Perris Valley Metrolink service
PERRIS – (INT) – Metrolink still plans to start service on the Perris Valley Line sometime this spring.

Construction continues on the South Perris Station, the southern terminus of the 24-mile line. Test trains have been running between Perris and Riverside, but without passengers.

A safety feature, Positive Train Control (PTC), has been added. It would bring trains automatically to a safe stop in the event an engineer runs a red light.

The Perris Valley Line was dedicated last December, but a start-up date has not been set.
