Imported water brings Diamond Valley Lake back to life
HEMET – (INT) - The Metropolitan Water District is celebrating the first infusion of imported water in three years at Diamond Valley Lake.

That will enable the re-opening of boat launching ramps that were closed a year ago because of low water levels. The MWD took advantage of the low levels to extend three of the eleven boat launching lanes.

Power boats, fishing boats, sailboats, rowboats, kayaks, canoes and certain types of catamarans are permitted on the lake beginning May 18th.

Diamond Valley is one of Southern California’s top fishing destinations. It is also the MWD’s primary drinking water storage reservoir.
