'Coachella', 'Stagecoach' and now 'Oldchella'
INDIO - Almost since their inceptions, the Coachella and Stagecoach music festivals at the Empire Polo Club have drawn fans from throughout the Southwest. Come October, we’ll find out if classic-rock fans will turn out in equally huge numbers for what is being unofficially billed as the “Concert of the Century” by some, “Oldchella” by others, and “Desert Trip” in promotional materials describing the three evening concerts.

No matter the name, the lineup for Oct. 7-9 outdoor concerts features a remarkable collection of classic-rock icons who have never before appeared at the same music event. The performance roster includes 1969 Woodstock veterans Neil Young and The Who, and two legendary acts — Paul McCartney and the Rolling Stones. Rounding things off are Bob Dylan and former Pink Floyd mainstay Roger Waters.

Each act will perform full a full set and all concerts will start after sundown. Tickets go on sale Monday at 10 a.m. at Desert.Trip.com. Prices range $199 for a general admission pass to $1,599 for reserved floor and reserved grandstand stages. No single-day tickets are available. They go on sale Monday. (Source: discoversd)
