Sample ballots: “We owe it to the voters”
RIVERSIDE – (INT) – County election officials have switched vendors in order to get sample ballots for the June Primary in the hands of voters as soon as possible.

The county’s long-time vendor failed to get 386,000 remaining sample ballots in the mail as planned on Monday. The job has been handed over to a Sacramento-based vendor to complete the job on short notice.

“It’s an unusual step but we must have certainty,” said Registrar of Voters Rebecca Spencer. “We owe it to the voters.”

Actual vote-by-mail ballots will be mailed after all sample-ballots have gone out. Early voting for the June 7th Primary is already underway.
