Survey draws Clinton, Sanders nearly even
SAN FRANCISCO – (INT) – A new California survey puts Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders in a tighter race in the statewide presidential primary than many believe.

And, the same poll in a potential November match-up found Donald Trump trailing both Clinton and Sanders.

The statewide survey was done by the Public Policy Institute of California (PPIC).

When Democrats and independents were polled about their choices, 46 percent support Clinton and 44 percent support Sanders.

About two-thirds of likely Republican primary voters choose Trump, while 26 percent say they would vote for someone else. Men (72%) are more likely than women (62%) to say they would vote for Trump.

In a fall presidential match-up, Clinton has support from 49 percent of likely voters, while 39 percent favor Trump, and another 11 percent would vote for someone else or are undecided. Women support Clinton by a wide margin and men are more likely to favor Trump.
