Father, two sons held in grisly murder
HIGHLAND – (INT) – A Highland man and his two teenage sons are under arrest in connection with a man’s murder and the disposal of his body in a burning trash can.

A sheriff’s deputy on routine patrol interrupted the trio’s attempt to get rid of the body of Morris Barnes, 51, on May 20th.

A long distance freeway chase of the prime suspect, Enrique Jimenez Sr., ended with his arrest in Paramount. The juveniles, aged 14 and 17, were collared after a foot pursuit not far from the crime scene.

Sheriff’s investigators determined that Barnes had been stabbed, his body loaded into a trash can and taken to a vacant field in Highland where the suspects attempted to set the remains on fire.

Detectives said the stabbing occurred in Highland, but gave no circumstances.
