Manson follower denied parole for 20th time
SACRAMENTO – (INT) – Another notation has been added to the nearly 47-year-old Tate-La Bianca killings carried out by Charles Manson and his followers.

Governor Jerry Brown is denying the parole of Leslie Van Houten which a State Parole Board had recommended. It is her 20th denial.

Van Houten, a one-time high school cheerleader, was 19 when she joined Manson’s clan and participated in the murderous rampage in 1969. She was convicted only in the two La Bianca slayings.
