Instructor in kinesiology gets 1-day jail sentence SAN BERNARDINO – (INT) – A Cal State-San Bernardino professor, once considered armed and dangerous, has accepted a plea bargain in a 5-year-old accusation that he sold drugs out of his Highland home.
Steve Kinzey pleaded no contest Friday to a conspiracy charge and was sentenced to 1-day in county jail, according to San Bernardino Superior Court records. Kinzey has already served the jail term. In a September 2011 news conference, investigators claimed that Kinzey was the ringleader of a methemphetamine sales operation. A search of his home turned up a pound of meth and firearms. Kinzey avoided arrest. He’d been an instructor of kinesiology at Cal State. Kinzey had been president of the Mountain Chapter of the Devils Diciples Motorcycle Club. Story Date: July 31, 2016
