Southern California caught between summer, autumn
SOUTHLAND - (INT) - Southern Californians have some ‘water cooler’ weather to talk about for the coming 5-days. The variables are rather apparent for the closing days of summer.

Intense low pressure over the Eastern Sierra and Nevada has generated at lot of mountain and desert wind and a dense marine layer brought a few hundredths of an inch of rain to Orange County early Tuesday.

On a bigger scale, it’s the sharply cooler weather that has everyone talking. Afternoons temperatures up to 25 degrees below normal Tuesday.

Wednesday touched off a return to summer as temperatures steadily climb becoming above normal by the weekend.

At the coast, increasing swells generated by Hurricane Orlene should subside at the beaches beginning Thursday.
