Local base prepared for MQ-9 drone
MARCH AIR RESERVE BASE – (INT) – Any environmental concerns are being assessed as the Air Force Reserve plans to relocate the MQ-9 Reaper drone aircraft.

It’s presently located at the Southern California Logistics Airport near Victorville.

A draft environmental assessment concludes there would be minor, short-term construction-related impacts to air quality, noise, geological resources, water resources, and hazardous materials and wastes related to construction activities at the March Air Reserve Base (MARB).

Potential operational impacts to airspace management, land use, biological resources, transportation and circulation, visual resources, socio-economics, environmental justice and protection of children, and safety would be less than significant, according to a statement from MARB.

A September 24th deadline has been set for public comments on the MQ-9 Reaper relocation.
