San Bernardino shootings leave 3 dead, 2 wounded
SAN BERNARDINO – (INT) - Another incident of domestic violence has figured in the region’s latest, deadly officer-involved shooting.

Officers resorted to lethal means when a Taser failed to stop Michael Peacor, 56, from stabbing his wife at their home. The wife survived. Investigators attributed Peacor's behavior to drug abuse.

It was the city’s third deadly shooting in as many days.

Earlier Monday, a man standing on a sidewalk on Mountain View Avenue was slain by someone in a car that had pulled over and stopped. The coroner identified the victim as Christopher Martinez, 29, of San Bernardino. It was the city’s 47th homicide of the year.

Two women are fighting for their lives following a weekend shooting that killed a 49-year-old man.

Police officers first on the scene found the victims Saturday night in an apartment parking lot on North ‘G’ Street.

The women were immediately taken to local hospitals. But, Harold Cook of San Bernardino died at the scene.
