Study: California Hispanics not integrating California ranks in the bottom half of the states with the most-integrated Hispanics.
California placed 37th in the rankings issued by the personal finance website WalletHub. California Hispanics were near the bottom in education integration but were the best (15th) in economic integration. California was 29th in cultural and civic integration. West Virginia was tops in the WalletHub study and Massachusetts at the bottom. WalletHub had these other conclusions about California Hispanics among the nation’s 51 states: · 35th – English Proficiency of Hispanics · 49th – % of Hispanics with at Least a Bachelor’s Degree · 43rd – Math & Reading Test Scores of Hispanic Students · 34th – Median Annual Income of Hispanics (Adjusted for Cost of Living) · 27th – Hispanic Unemployment Rate · 34th – Hispanic Veteran Status · 28th – Public High School Graduation Rate of Hispanic Students Hispanics dominate California’s population, but their population growth slowed since the start of the Great Recession.
