SACRAMENTO - Governor Brown has vetoed a bill that would have reimbursed local public safety agencies that responded to last December's terrorist attack at San Bernardino's Inland Regional Center.

Brown says that although the Legislature approved SB 1385 by Senator Connie M. Leyva (D-Chino), the California Disaster Assistance Act would have been precedent-setting for any similar future events in California.

Governor Brown has signed a bill that makes California the 35th state to provide CPR training in high schools. Those that require a course in health education for graduation will begin to offer instruction in performing CPR in the 2018-2019 school year.
