Killers of teen couple sentenced VICTORVILLE – (INT) – After more than 8-years of court appearances, the last two defendants in the slayings of a teenage couple at an abandoned military bunker on the high Desert have learned their fate.
A Superior Court judge ordered lengthy prison terms for David Smith and Cameron Thomson. Both pleaded guilty to the January 2008 slayings of high school sweethearts Bodhi Sherzer-Potter and Christopher Thompson. Smith admitted two counts of murder. Thomson earlier pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter. A third defendant, Colin McGlaughlin, was given a no-parole prison term in 2014. Prosecutors said the trio intended to rob the victims, but took them to a bunker west of Barstow where they were shot. Story Date: September 30, 2016
