Inland Center to gain new anchor store SAN BERNARDINO – (INT) – The Inland Center has become J.C. Penney’s only new location for the department store chain this year. A grand opening was held Friday.
J.C Penney exited San Bernardino for a brief time, but will occupy the bi-level building left vacant when Gottschalks closed in 2009. The Inland Center hosts three other anchor stores, Sears, Macy’s and Forever 21 plus more than 100 specialty shops and restaurants. The J.C. Penney store is expected to have more than 200 employees.
