Train-pedestrian fatalities reach 11
RIVERSIDE - (INT) - Pedestrians are dying on railroad tracks that criss-cross the Metro area at the rate of one a month.

The latest fatality is a woman who walked onto the BNSF tracks at Spruce Street late Tuesday. She was not immediately identified.

Witnesses told Riverside police that warning lights were flashing and the victim appeared to walk around the lowered crossing gates.

It was the eleventh train-pedestrian fatality this year in western Riverside and San Bernardino counties. Four have been killed in Riverside and three in Corona.
