Reserve workers comp fund created to help SB terror survivors
SAN BERNARDINO - (INT) – County supervisors have launched The December 2nd Workers’ Comp Claim Expediter Reserve fund to pay for an outside firm to provide proactive review of worker’s compensation claims, status and outreach.

It’s designed to help minimize treatment delays and interruptions for victims of last December’s terrorist attack.

County officials said Tuesday they expect to have a firm in place very soon with the $100,000 to ensure that necessary medical treatments are approved and administered as quickly as possible.

Some of our employees have complained about problems getting treatments approved in a timely manner.

The county has found that most of the complaints involve the county not receiving supporting documentation from employees’ providers. Without documentation from treating physicians, care cannot be approved and funded.
