Autistic student dies in school bus altercation SAN BERNARDINO – (INT) – An autistic, special needs student has collapsed and died following an altercation on a school bus.
Anthony Corona, 18, was returning home from the Bright Futures Academy in Riverside late Friday when he became involved in an altercation aboard the bus. According to police, the bus driver exited the 215 freeway at H Street to help end the scuffle which involved another student and school employees. Corona eventually lost consciousness. He was given CPR and was taken by ambulance to St. Bernardine’s Hospital, but could not be revived. A police homicide unit is investigating, but the student’s cause of death will await the outcome of an autopsy. Story Date: December 13, 2016
