Couple’s murder stymies investigators
WINCHESTER--There are no suspects and investigators are without a motive for the gunshot slayings of a couple in their French Valley home last week.

But, sheriff’s Lt. John Schultz says the murders of Marine Sergeant Jan Pietrzak and his wife, Quiana, are solvable. “It’s gonna take a lot of hard work and persistence and we’re using all means to solve it.”

Schultz believes the murders were not a random act of violence and probably involved multiple suspects who attempted to cover up the crimes by setting a small fire on a stairway.

Nothing was taken from the couple’s home and no firearms were left behind.

Friends and acquaintances are being contacted.
