Study: California among happiest places
SOUTHLAND – (INT) – Thirteen of the nation’s 20 happiest places to live are in California.
WalletHub examined thirty key indicators ranging from the depression rate to income-growth rate to average leisure time spent per day.
Topping the list of happiest places are Fremont, San Jose, Irvine and San Francisco.
Fremont has the lowest separation & divorce rate, 17.72 percent, which is 2.7 times lower than in Detroit, the city with the highest at 47.31 percent.
Los Angeles has the lowest depression rate, 9.99 percent, which is 2.5 times lower than in Portland, Ore., the city with the highest.
Inland Empire cities fall in the middle among the nation’s 150 happiest places:
#43 – Rancho Cucamonga
#62 - Fontana
#64 - Riverside
#82 – Moreno Valley
#88 – Ontario
#106 –San Bernardino
