Equity rises as home sales slows
INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – Home values across the Inland Empire continue to out-perform four other Southern California counties.

During February, CoreLogic reported that the median price of homes sold in Riverside County grew 10 percent compared to the Southern California average of 7 percent. The Inland Empire average of just under $321,000 was about $140,000 below the 6-county average.

San Bernardino County showed the only increase in the actual number of homes sold as compared to February of last year.

Last month, sales of newly built homes - detached houses and condos combined – were about 50 percent below the long-term February average.

CoreLogic says home sales continues to be restrained by the decline in affordability and the relatively thin inventory of homes for sale.
