Execution recommended for killer of three MURRIETA – (INT) – The convicted killer of three people is a step closer to Death Row.
A Superior Court jury recommended Wednesday that David Contreras should be executed for stabbing his three victims at random over a 5-week period four years ago. The victims were walking near their homes in the Perris-Nuevo area when they were attacked for no apparent reason. The killings occurred within 4-miles of Contreras’ home in Perris. Jose Apreza was found dead in a field where he’d been walking his dog. Maria Gonzalez and her 25-year-old daughter were attacked and left for dead as they walked along Central Avenue in Nuevo. The trial judge has the option of affirming the jury’s recommendation or imposing a no-parole prison term when Contreras is sentenced May 12th. Story Date: March 24, 2017
