Gangs implicated in young woman's murder
BEAUMONT – (INT) – A nearly 3-week murder investigation led to the arrests Thursday of eight people. Police allege that four are directly linked to the gunshot slaying of Jasmine Zuniga.

The young woman was found March 4th unresponsive inside a vehicle on Chesnut Street.

Investigators have not commented on a motive or how the four principal suspects are linked to the incident.

Two held without bail are Samuel Jesus Acosta, 32, of Banning and Mathew Ray Zues Munoz, 25, of Beaumont.

The arrests came as search warrants were served in Banning, Beaumont, Calimesa, and Yucaipa.

Police said that at least four of the suspects have ties to local gangs.
