Parolee held in girlfriend's murder
SAN BERNARDINO – (INT) – Domestic violence figures in the city’s latest homicide.

A man on parole for burglary and wearing an ankle-tracking device fled to Los Angeles after killing his girlfriend Sunday.

Julio Serrano, 42, told a friend that he had hurt his girlfriend. Police responded to a trailer behind a residence on North Perris Street and found her body.

Serrano was returned to San Bernardino and jailed on suspicion of murder. It was the city’s ninth homicide of the year and third this month.
