Unrelated earthquakes rattle California, Nevada
Parts of California and Nevada suffered a case of jitters Sunday. At least five earthquakes struck during a 10-hour period.

The strongest, a M4.9, was centered in the Pacific Ocean southwest of Eureka. Two other quakes jiggled Northern California.

Two more quakes were recorded in Nevada. But, an M3.5 near Las Vegas went largely unnoticed.

Law enforcement agencies closest to the epicenters reported no injuries or damage.
