Clandestine marijuana cultivations are becoming more numerous. Lawmen swooped down on a residence on Highway 173 in Hesperia where three suspects were using water from the West Fork of the Mojave River/ Cedar Springs Creek to grow 2,600 marijuana plants. Arrested were Tony Deveyra, 28, of Apple Valley; Carolina Vaquerano, 26, of Upland and Alexis Takahashi, 25, of Los Angeles. In Colton, police arrested two men after finding 300 pot plants being cultivated inside a home on West K Street. (INT)
