Thirst lands woman behind bars
LAKE ELSINORE – (INT) – A woman’s plea for a drink of water to help fend off the heat wave has landed her in jail.

As sheriff’s deputies tell it, Destiny Fawn Lytle, 25, climbed into a work truck operated by the Eastern Municipal Water District that had stopped for a traffic signal and told the driver she was thirsty. As the driver was pouring her some water from a cooler, Lytle attempted to drive off in the truck. But, the attempted theft failed and deputies arrested Lytle a short time later.

Lytle, 25, attempted another break for it outside the Southwest Detention Center where she’s facing charges of vehicle theft, but her thirst has been quenched.

Deputies say the intense heat has affected people in different ways.
