PMI takes a dive, makes mid-year adjustment
The Inland Empire’s high flying Purchasing Manager’s Index (PMI) has come down to reality. All of the major components of the PMI registered a decrease from the previous month, but remained strong enough to register growth in the local economy. A solid majority of the purchasing managers surveyed by the Institute of Applied Research at Cal State San Bernardino believe the local economy will grow or remain the same for the Third Quarter. Only 7 percent believe it will weaken. (INT)
