Witnesses describe engaged couple's last flight
BIG BEAR – (INT) – Investigators have been interviewing two witnesses to the July 29th plane crash that killed a newly engaged couple.

One witness told the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) that the Cessna 172 seemed to ‘sink’ after take-off from the Big Bear City Airport. As the plane descended toward the tree tops during a turn, the wings began to rock back and forth, according to the witness.

Pilot Brian White, 30, of Helendale had just proposed to Rebecca Raymond, 28, before they took off enroute to Apple Valley.

Ms. Raymond was a rookie deputy who’d joined the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department in September 2016.

The NTSB’s finding of probable cause is not expected until sometime next year.
