Prostitution leads to hotel room murder
ONTARIO – (INT) – Two women and a man are facing murder charges over a disputed prostitution payment.
The arrests announced Wednesday ended a 5-day investigation into the September 1st shooting of a Rancho Cucamonga man at the Ramada Inn. The body of Irwin Myland, 44, was found on a hotel room September 1st.
The three suspects, all from Fresno, were arrested after their vehicle was traced to that Central Valley city.
Fernando Covarrubias, 24, gave up after a pursuit. Also jailed and returned to Ontario were Juliana Michelle Lara and Angelica Elaina Sambrano, both 22.
Investigators say that Covarrubias was the shooter although all three will be charged with Myland’s murder.
