IE remembers 9/11 16-years later
INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – Monday marked the 16th year since the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York, the Pentagon in Washington, DC and a rural area in Pennsylvania.
Moments of silence were observed at assorted locations, including schools and colleges throughout the Inland Empire.
In Riverside County, tributes, memorials and remembrances were planned at Elks lodges in Corona, Lake Elsinore, Hemet and Moreno Valley all at 9:11am.
Fire stations in Eastvale and Norco hosted memorial ceremonies.
There were other events Monday at public libraries in Corona and Murrieta.
