PMI: Growth of local economy slows slightly
SAN BERNARDINO - (INT) - The manufacturing sector is keeping the Inland Empire’s overall local economy comfortably in the growth mode.

The monthly PMI index released Monday declined slightly suggesting the rate of growth has slowed somewhat, according to the Institute of Applied Research at Cal State San Bernardino.

New orders showed a sharp drop while supplier deliveries showed a slight increase.

Thirty-nine percent of purchasing managers surveyed predict that the local economy will become stronger in the coming months. Fifty percent believe the local economy will remain unchanged and the remaining 11% believe the local economy will come weaker over the next quarter.
