Climatologists offer long range weather outlook
SOUTHLAND – (INT) – A wide-ranging weather pattern is setting up with the Climate Prediction Center (CPC) calling for a variety of events the rest of the month.

Another Santa Ana wind event this weekend is likely to be followed by a pattern change that will bring a cold front and chance of showers to Southern California next week.

The CPC predicts dry conditions to close out the month with warmer temperatures and a possible heat wave. It could be accompanied by another round of high winds.

The coming winter could be a mild one for California with precipitation about normal and temperatures slightly above. A weak La Nina has set in. But, there’s no guarantee of a dry winter from December through February.
