New day dawns at Ontario Airport with more flying options
ONTARIO – (INT) – The largest commitment of new air service in more than a decade is being celebrated at Ontario International Airport (ONT).

Frontier Airlines launched service at ONT Thursday with its inaugural flight from Austin, Texas. Frontier is offering initial flights as low as $49.

Frontier is flying Airbus A320’s with non-stop flights to Austin, San Antonio and Denver this fall. Next spring, non-stop service to Chicago/O’Hare begins.

Frontier touts low-fare service in direct competition with Southwest Airlines which has carried ONT’s largest passenger volume for years.

Frontier is opening 85 new routes to 21 cities nationwide.

Ontario International Airport Authority President Alan Wapner says “This milestone reflects the significant role ONT plays in the Southern California Aviation market.”
