A motorcyclist was killed Friday when he crossed over the center line of Highway 38 in the San Bernardino Mountains and into the path of an oncoming vehicle. The California Highway Patrol placed the accident scene on a curve near Jenks Lake. The coroner says that Murray Francis Newton, 50, from San Joaquin County was riding with a group of cyclists. Earlier in Coachella, another motorist perished in a crash involving a DUI driver. (INT)
