Brushfire burns into Perris recycling center
PERRIS – (INT) – It took Riverside County firefighters several hours to mop up a combined brush and recycling fire Wednesday.

It broke out when flames burned into a recycling yard on Ellis Avenue. A huge column of black smoke was seen over a wide area that drifted north and gradually dissipated over Moreno Valley.

Forty fire fighters responded to the scene just north of the Perris Valley Airport.

There were no reported injuries. Calfire reported that an electrical malfunction caused the fire.
