Turning points reached in California fire fight
SANTA ROSA – (INT) – More ‘missing’ people are being accounted for as the fire siege in Northern California winds down. Fewer than 100 people have not been located as of the last estimate.

The death toll has risen to 42 after authorities located another victim of the Tubbs Fire in Sonoma County

On the fire fronts, 10,000 fire fighters are dealing with thirteen major fires that have burned over 210,000 acres. Twenty-two-thousand people remain evacuated or have not been able to return to their damaged or destroyed homes.

Mother Nature may lend a helping hand. The hot, dry winds have subsided and the humidity has increased. Light rain is in the forecast for Thursday night.

Calfire has still not listed the official causes for any of the fires saying they are under investigation.

Governor Brown issued an executive order Wednesday to cut red tape and help streamline recovery efforts.
