Truckdriver held in deadly bus crash
PALM SPRINGS – (INT) – A nearly year-long investigation into a bus-truck collision that killed 13 people has concluded with an arrest.

Riverside County prosecutors announced Thursday that truckdriver Bruce Guilford, 51, has been charged with vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence, 12 counts of felony reckless driving and 17 misdemeanor counts of reckless driving causing injury.

The District Attorney alleges that Guilford had fallen asleep at the wheel of his big rig when it and the bus collided on Interstate 10 near North Indian Canyon Drive on October 23rd, 2016.

Guilford was charged Wednesday and arrested in Georgia.
