Next Hemet police chief named
HEMET – (INT) – City officials are moving quickly to replace Police Chief Dave Brown who is stepping down to run for Riverside County Sheriff.

Interim Hemet City Manager Allen Parker has promoted Deputy Chief Rob Webb to be the city’s top cop.

Webb has 30 years of law enforcement experience. He and his family have been residents of the San Jacinto Valley since 1991 when he signed on with the Hemet PD.

“As with any healthy organization, the Hemet Police Department has implemented a comprehensive strategic plan that emphasizes and supports succession planning for every rank; and I was impressed with the broad support and confidence in Chief Webb,” Parker said.

Webb takes over as 17th Chief of Police in the Department’s 117 year history, effective Friday, December 22nd.
