18 dogs seized, cruelty investigation opened
JURUPA VALLEY – (INT) – Eighteen dogs living in ‘deplorable conditions’ have been rescued from a residence where five were found in a wire crate standing in their own feces.
One of the dogs had been repeatedly attacked by the others and required immediate medical attention.
As of Tuesday, the occupants of the residence on Chris Court could not be found.
An animal cruelty investigation has been opened and the case will be submitted to the District Attorney for possible prosecution.
As the dogs have been confiscated, they are not available for adoption.
