Job growth continues to impact unemployment rate INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – The region’s jobless rate has tumbled to its lowest point in 5-months.
The addition of 25,000 jobs during October, mostly in the government sector, helped to lower the rate to 4.8 percent. Job growth in Riverside and San Bernardino counties has remained at a healthy 3 percent over the past 12-months with a gain of 42,800 jobs. Construction turned in the most year-over gain. The State Employment Development Department continues to find Beaumont and Loma Linda with the lowest jobless rates at 3 percent or less. Riverside was at 4.8 percent during October.
